Description
De Groote Peel National Park is located on the border between North Brabant and Limburg. A unique nature reserve that you really have to stop for.
The route starts in Neerkant where you pass the monumental Sint Vincentius House, a former monastery from 1915. You drive through the Neerkant forests, which lie on an elongated drifting sand dune. A little later you cycle into the agricultural landscape around the Groote Peel. So close to the national park, it is old-fashionedly quiet here and you can see some beautiful old farms. You are not allowed to explore De Groote Peel itself by bicycle. However, from the visitor center you can walk in a short time to a lookout tower that offers you an unforgettable view of this beautiful wetland.
