A holiday feeling in the Achterhoek

From your starting point you quickly drive into the woods at Landgoed Hoenderkamp. It is nice to pedal among the coniferous and deciduous trees while enjoying the fresh forest air. You will also experience the typical peace and quiet that still prevails in the Achterhoek in the rural area around Hengelo in Gelderland. About halfway up you will see Molen Ons Belang from 1890 appear on the horizon. A little later you cycle into Ruurlo, a town where you experience the typically friendly atmosphere of the Achterhoek. You pass a number of sights, such as the fourteenth-century Village Church. Just outside the village is Ruurlo Castle, which houses a second branch of Museum MORE. At De Zellerij Eten & Drinken you can have a drink and something to eat before you return to square one.
