Cycling through the beautiful surroundings of Goes

The old town of Goes is great to explore by bike. You can also enjoy cultural history in the rural area around Goes. You can get a breath of fresh air along the Oosterschelde.

Wemeldinge
After cycling along the former sea dike along the Oosterschelde, you enter the Dorpsstraat in Wemeldinge, lined with lime trees. This street enjoys a protected village view because of the centuries-old farms and cross houses. What a wonderful historic atmosphere! In the polders you cycle between the vast grasslands and the many fruit orchards that provide beautiful pictures in the spring.

Picturesque Goes
In Goes you cycle back in time. Get off at the Stadshaven and the Grote Markt to enjoy the monuments at your leisure. The town hall and the Grote Kerk date from the fifteenth century. Just past Goes you cycle a bit through the Poelbos, a little later the creek remnant Oosterschenge is also on your route. At the Veerse Meer you make a pi(n)t stop at Den Baas and his madam, a cozy restaurant.
