By bike through Voornes Duin

On Voorne-Putten you will experience the peace and space you expect from an island. This route takes you through the beautiful nature of Voornes Duin, but also through Brielle.

Den Briel
The route starts at Hotel Restaurant't Wapen van Marion. Have a coffee here and then drive along the leafy banks of the Brielse Meer. On the other side you can see the Hartel Canal and the port of Rotterdam, an impressive view. From a distance you can see Brielle getting closer. The largely seventeenth-century fortress is one of the best-preserved defenses in the Netherlands. You can see the Vliegend Hert, a corn mill from 1862.

Voornes Dune
From the beautiful village of Zwartewaal you drive into the polder. What peace and space you will find here! Just past the ribbon village of Tinte you will pass Museum in den Halven Maen. Here you can take a wonderful leap back in time thanks to old objects such as groceries, tins and tobacco products. Just before Rockanje you cycle through the Meertje de Waal nature reserve. A little later you drive into the woods of Voornes Duin. To enjoy!
