Tour of estates near Amersfoort

Your cycling route starts at Boerderij De Omrand, with its nice local shop. You immediately start the route in style, because you drive straight into the rugged Bloeidaal nature reserve. This is how the entire Gelderse Vallei once looked. You can learn more about this in the coach house on the historic Stoutenburg Estate. A little further on you will pass Den Olden Florus, one of the oldest existing post mills in the Netherlands. Time seems to have stood still in the Kallenbroek area. You cycle through an old farm landscape with grasslands, fields, streams and forests. Scherpenzeel is a beautiful old village. Here you will see, among other things, the monumental Reformed Church from 1300. On the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug you drive past the Den Treek Estate. You will also pass the former Grebbe Line near Leusden.
