Description

This walking route takes you through part of the Maasduinen. On the edge of this national park you walk along a mix of grasslands and forests. From junction 66 you walk along the slightly sloping path along the edge of the Reindersmeer. At this sand quarry you will find a high degree of biodiversity, such as forests, heathland fens and drifting sand. You also have a beautiful view of the striking blue water. You make a shortcut through the Bosserheide, where mainly Scots pine and larch grow. Then you walk along the Reindersmeer to the Bergerheide. In this sub-area of the Maasduinen you will find fens, heathland and drifting sand. A beautiful and wonderfully quiet landscape where you can relax. The route ends with a meal at Eetcafé Jaykes.
