Forts route Vianen - Culemborg over the Lekdijk

The route starts in Vianen at parking lots near route point 11

P- Hazelaarplein 4. 4131 Vianen.

P- Sluiseiland 8. 4132AG Vianen.

P- Kanaalweg     4132 Vianen 

You can also start the route in Culemborg.

P- Palumbusweg  to the Castle Gardens. 4101 Culemborg.

Start route point 11. From there to route point 12 Hagestein Lock and Dam Complex.

Here you can also admire a fish ladder and perhaps jumping fish.Upstream.

At route point 40 Fort Everdingen. Between route point 40 and 41 Werk a/d Spoel.

Between route point 41 and 42 we cycle through Culemborg. At route point 42,

R,from Beusichemsedijk in the bend R,keep to Palumbusplaats Free parking and then to the castle gardens.Then back to route point 42.

At route point 51 R, turn left and after 300 meters Fort Werk on the Groeneweg.

Between route points 51 and 18 you will encounter 3 forts.

1st fort - Fort Honsdijk, 2nd fort - Fort on the inundation canal,

3rd fort - Fort work on the Uitweg.

Between route point 18 and 14 Work on the Waalse Wetering 

At route point 15 the route can be extended with route 561570 to route points 6-68-69-70-71-72-74-24-23-22-25-20-pondje to Vianen-10-11-P.

The route will then be 11 km longer.

If you stay on the short route, then from route point 15 to 17-19-20-pond-10-11-P

Between route points 15 and 17 you will come across Fort Oudheidskamer Vreeswijk.
