Lovely loop around Harderwijk and the Veluwe

From the rugged nature of the Leuvenumse Bos to the ancient Sprielderbos: cycling around Harderwijk is a delight! You start this route on the edge of the Ermelose Heide, a nature reserve where remains of a Roman marching camp have been found. Next, you ride through the Sprielderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. At Strand Horst, it is time for a refreshing break at Drift Beachclub. From here, you have a beautiful view over the waters of the Wolderwijd. In the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk, you can enjoy the many beautiful monumental buildings along your route. Further along, you will encounter even more cultural history as you ride past De Essenburgh, a fairytale castle from the seventeenth century. Finally, you cycle through the peaceful forests around Leuvenum. This is Veluwe enjoyment!
