A nice long day on the Veluwe

At the Veluwe you can spend a nice day immersing yourself in nature. This route takes you through quiet forests, vast moors and picturesque old villages.

The Earthhouse
Cycling across the Veluwe means enjoying the peace. You ride for miles on cycle paths that run through woods and heath. Cars are not allowed here, wonderful! You cycle through, among other things, the Hoog-Soerense Bossen which are part of De Koninklijke Houtvesterij het Loo, an extensive forest and heathland area. Hoog-Soeren itself enjoys a protected village view because of its authentic historical appearance. A little further on you will pass the Aardhuis, the former hunting chalet of Willem III that serves as a museum.

Speulderbos
You drive across the Houtdorperveld on the former route of the old church path between Speuld and Uddel. You have beautiful panoramas on this vast moorland. A little later you drive into the Speulderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. It is a truly varied primeval forest where nature can take its course. The deeper you drive into the forest, the quieter it gets.
