Green gems of the northern Veluwe

This route starts in the middle of nature, near Ermelo. Soon after departure you will drive through the Leuvenumse Bos: a varied forest of deciduous and coniferous trees, which is intersected by the Leuvenumsche Beek. There are many wild animals such as boars, badgers and red deer. Dead wood may be left behind, so that the forest provides sufficient food for insects and therefore also for birds. On your route you will also find Elspeet, with its characteristic old farms. The monumental church dates from the sixteenth century. Just before the end of the route you pass Staverden Estate, built centuries ago as the start of a city. During your trip you will pass Camping Het Vossenhol, get off here and enjoy a well-deserved break.
