The Grail route takes you through the Flemish Ardennes. Here you cycle through a rolling landscape and through Geraardsbergen and Elst, picturesque places where you can discover delicious local dishes.
Geutelingenmuseum
You can still experience peace and conviviality in the Flemish countryside. There may be no large nature reserves on your route, but there is plenty of natural beauty to discover in the Flemish Ardennes. You cycle here through a succession of forests, open fields, fields and sunken roads. In Elst you will pass the Geutelingenmuseum. Here you can see how this delicacy is baked in a brick, willow-fired oven.
The wall
Geraardsbergen is a beautiful old town on the Dender. On the Grote Markt on the east bank of the Dender you can admire the St. Bartholomew's Church and the neo-Gothic town hall. And, let's not forget: a Manneken Pis who is no less than 160 years older than the famous little guy in Brussels. For culinary enthusiasts there is the mattentaart: a pastry prepared on the basis of soured milk. A little further on is De Muur, a famous slope on which many heroic cycling battles have been fought. From the top you have a beautiful view of the area. Do you dare the Wall?
