Hellendoorn, Hellendoornse Berg and the Reggedal

This walking route starts at Restaurant Zalencentrum In de Tonne in the cozy Hellendoorn. In the village you can visit the Smederij Museum d\\\'Oale Smederië. Here you will learn about authentic craftsmanship, you can also admire a 200 year old bellows and a field forge from the time of Napoleon. On the east side of Hellendoorn you walk through the Reggedal. Around the meandering river you walk through an idyllic landscape of flowery meadows and beautiful views. A beautiful contrast with the forests on the Hellendoornse berg, full of whimsical oaks and slender white birches. Sometimes it is a bit of a climb, because the Hellendoornse berg is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. The hills are said to have been created by a giant who carried a leaky bag of sand with him!
