Hellendoorn, Hellendoornse Berg and the Reggedal

This walking route starts at Restaurant Zalencentrum In de Tonne in cozy Hellendoorn. In the village you can visit the Smederij Museum d\\\'Oale Smederië. You will learn about the authentic craftsmanship here, you can also admire a 200-year-old bellows and a field forge from the time of Napoleon. On the east side of Hellendoorn you walk through the Reggedal. You walk around the meandering river through an idyllic landscape of flowery meadows and beautiful views. A nice contrast to the forests on the Hellendoornse Berg, full of whimsical oaks and slender white birches. Sometimes it is a bit of a climb, because the Hellendoornse berg is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. The hills are said to have been created by a giant carrying a punctured bag of sand!
