By bike from Bergeijk to Valkenswaard

From Bergeijk you cycle to Stevert, where you can take a look at the Stevertse Mill. The mill was already there at the beginning of the 15th century. The mill has been restored several times over the centuries. From Stevert you cycle further to Valkenswaard through the Dommeldal. The landscape here consists of hay meadows, meadows, small forest areas, heathlands, ponds and hedgerows. You will also find all kinds of birds in this area, such as kingfishers, orioles, stonechats and yellowhammers. On the edge of Valkenswaard you will find the Dommelschemolen, which was already mentioned in the second half of the 14th century. In 1747 the mill came into the hands of the nunnery of Arendonk.
