Your route starts at Camping Getaway. Just above the Belgian Kalmthout you cross the border park De Zoom - Kalmthoutse Heide. This is the part that is called the Kalmthoutse Heide. This former low moor area has been transformed over the centuries into a beautiful large heath with fens and pine forests. In Huijbergen you drive past De Johanna, a beautiful stone belt mill from 1862. A little further on you pass Putte, a border village that is partly in the Netherlands, partly in Belgium. The Belgian Putte also belongs to two municipalities, Stabroek and Kapellen. You drive back through the Wouwse Plantage, one of the most beautiful forest areas in the Netherlands. This estate, which was created in the sixteenth century, has many coniferous forests, while in the north the soil has been made suitable for agriculture.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
