Description
Fancy a walk on the Veluwe? On the Wezepse Heide you will find plenty of natural beauty and peace! Ideal for a chat or to clear your head. The nature reserve is located on a moraine that was formed during the ice age. You walk here on a slightly undulating path through a mix of coniferous forest and heathlands that are grazed by a herd of Scottish Highlanders. The area is home to red deer, roe deer, foxes and badgers. Towards the end of the route you walk a bit on the Westerborkpad (LAW 15). This path is inspired by the walk that Jan Dokter made in 2005 in memory of the twelve family members he lost in the Second World War. At De Zeuven Heuvels it is time for a delicious meal.
