Description
The route takes you past Huis Doorn, the magnificent country house of Emperor Wilhelm II, who lived in exile in Doorn for years. Amerongen Castle is on the route, as is the Tobacco Growing Museum in Amerongen, which showcases the history of tobacco cultivation in the area. The route also includes the historic Amerongse Bos, with its 69-meter-high Amerongse Berg. From Driebergen to Doorn, Leersum, Amerongen, Rhenen, and Amerongen Castle, you'll travel to the Lower Rhine. This beautifully winding river creates a completely different landscape.
