From Sint-Odilienberg you cycle to the Munningsbos, which is located on both banks of the Vlootbeek. A little later you drive through the Annendaalsbos with its fragrant conifers. Just before junction 72 you will see a modest monument on the left of the road for the crew of a Stirling W7630 that crashed here in 1942. At junction 6 in Gebroek you will pass the St. Anne's Chapel from 1896, and in Echt you can enjoy a tasty snack at Davvero Bistro. You drive to Maasbracht on the leafy cycle path along the Juliana Canal. Here you will pass, among other things, the Leonardusmolen from 1864. You drive towards Montfort via the Reigersbroek nature reserve. Just outside the village you pass the ruins of Montfort Castle, an originally thirteenth-century castle that was built by order of Henry III of Gelre.
