Tour of Maasduinen and Overloonse Duinen

There are plenty of old towns and beautiful nature reserves along the Maas. This route takes you through Well, among other things. Just outside the village you pass a castle that originally dates from the fourteenth century. You cross the river, after which you drive via Geijsteren to Smakt. Here you pass the Sint-Jozefkapel from 1699. Then you ride on a slightly sloping cycle path through the coniferous forests of the Overloonse Duinen. In the village itself you can stop and enjoy a delicious lunch at Boompjes Restaurant, before driving back towards the Maas via the De Hondsberg nature reserve. On the other side of the river you cycle through the picturesque Afferden. During the last part of the route you can enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility in Maasduinen National Park.
