Tour of the rose gardens of Arcen Castle and Lottum

Your walking route starts at B&B La Dominotte Arcen. Arcen is known for the castle of the same name with the beautiful castle gardens. There is a breathtaking Rosarium with 12,000 roses. Also not to be missed is the Wijmarse Mill. This beautiful bottom and top water mill from 677 ground grain and was significantly renovated in 1881. The mill was restored in 1990 and has since housed a grain roasting house again, which bears the name De IJsvogel. You can cross by ferry to Lottum, the rose village of the Netherlands. There are wonderfully scented rose fields surrounding the village. In the center of the village you will find De Rozenhof, a knowledge center where you can learn everything about rose cultivation. Next to the center you can walk through the Top Rose Garden, with beautifully landscaped rose beds.
