Description
Your walking route starts at B&B La Dominotte Arcen. Arcen is known for its castle of the same name with its beautiful castle gardens. There is a breathtaking Rosarium with 12,000 roses. Also not to be missed is the Wijmarse Molen. This beautiful undershot and overshot watermill from 677 ground grain and was significantly renovated in 1881. The mill was restored in 1990 and since then a grain distillery has been established there again, which bears the name De IJsvogel. With a ferry you cross to Lottum, the rose village of the Netherlands. The village is surrounded by wonderfully fragrant rose fields. In the center of the village you will find De Rozenhof, a knowledge center where you can learn everything about rose cultivation. Next to the center you can walk through the Toprozentuin, with beautifully landscaped rose beds.
