Description

Your route starts at Het Grote Broertje in the fortified town of Grave. You can visit the Graafs Museum if you want to learn more about the history of this beautiful town. This museum is located in a wing of the Hampoort, a city gate from 1688 - you pass it! Then you take a nice tour along the Langenboomse Bossen. On Tongelaar Estate you will find a castle fortress, surrounded by beautiful farms. Tongelaar Castle is open on Wednesdays and Sundays, where you can have lunch or coffee. You cycle back past the former Bronkhorst Castle. The original fifteenth-century castle was transferred to a sister order in 1858. They had most of the castle demolished to build a monastery. Via L123: Cross the John S. Thompson Bridge and enter Grave again.
