De Hampoort

Of the four old fortress gates in Grave, only the Hampoort from 1688 has been preserved. Two battalions of soldiers could fit in the gate rooms. In the early 19th century there was even a military bakery and a hospital for the soldiers. The Hampoort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the attraction of Grave.
