Description

The first part of the route takes you through country estates such as Westerheide, Warnsborn and Schaarsbergen. You will enjoy stately avenues and beautifully landscaped parks. Zijpendaal is also an estate. The villa you see here originally dates from 1764. A little later you cycle past the famous Sonsbeek Park. Between the trees you will see the white Huis Sonsbeek from 1744 on a hill, and you will also pass the Bagijnemolen and Witte Molen. You take a tour around the center of Arnhem, after which you drive along the Rijnkade. On the edge of Oosterbeek is the Oude Kerk, which is approximately a thousand years old, and further on you can take a look at Doorwerth Castle. You drive back to Bloem Ede via the Renkumse Beekdal. Time for a refreshing and cozy terrace.
