This is the eleventh route in the series. We parked our car in the parking lot at the golf course. This is junction 33. It has rained very hard for days and there are quite a few puddles of water on the road. When we cycle to Someren-Eind we see that many roofs of farms and houses are heavily damaged. We heard that it hailed heavily here a few days ago. The debris was fist-thick. One resident said:\\\"It looked like war\\\". Many roofs are fitted with plastic tarpaulins and countless roofers are underway. Someren-Eind itself was packed with fairground attributes. Also strange to have to drive through there. At node 68 you come to Sluis 13. One of the locks that are located in the Zuid-Willemsvaart. There are a total of 19 over 122 km, which together have to bridge the height difference of 42 meters between Maastricht and's-Hertogenbosch. We'll stop by here again on our way back.
We drive over the canal to junction 2 in Nederweert, where we pick up the LF route again in the right direction.
After a while you will arrive at Mile op Zeven at the De Groote Peel National Park. Here you can take a break or take a walk in the peel area. Very worthwhile. In the restaurant there is also something to see that is worthwhile. Continuing on narrow roads we arrive at Sluis 13 to cycle to Someren-Heide. We got a rain shower and had to take shelter. Over a cinder path we entered the woods (with lots of leaves, blown branches and fallen trees). We were back in the hail zone.
