Description
Your route starts at TOP Langeveen. A little further on you can get off at Restaurant Vinck for a bite to eat - or enjoy a wine tasting in the sustainable vineyard! The Engbertsdijksvenen is an extensive peat area with heathland, forests and fens. It is a remnant of the large peat bog that once covered the northeast of the Netherlands. Walk a bit along the boardwalk to enjoy the beautiful nature! Via the Vroeger Achterbroek you cycle to the beautiful estate and castle Eerde. The castle first appears in writing in the thirteenth century, around 1715 the castle was given its current form. In the same century a park was laid out around the castle in the popular English landscape style. A beautiful spot!
