Description
Your route starts at TOP Langeveen. A little further on you can stop at Restaurant Vinck for a bite to eat - or experience a wine tasting in our own sustainable vineyard! The Engbertsdijksvenen is an extensive peat area with heathland, forests and fens. It is a remnant of the large peat swamp that once covered the northeast of the Netherlands. Walk along the boardwalk to enjoy the beautiful nature! You cycle via theearer Achterbroek to the beautiful estate and Eerde castle. The castle first appears in writing in the thirteenth century, around 1715 the castle took its current form. In the same century, a park was built around the castle in the popular English landscape style. A beautiful spot!
