Cycling through the National Landscape of Northeast Twente

Your route starts at Camping Roderveld. The National Landscape Northeast Twente consists of a rolling coulisse landscape with lovely church villages, vast estates and special watermills and castles. This area is bursting with cultural heritage, so there is plenty to discover by bike. This route also takes you into Germany. Just across the border you cycle through the bird-rich and humid grasslands that surround the centuries-old raised bog of the Syen Venn. Back in the Netherlands you discover the beautiful Lutterzand, a mix of sand drifts and deciduous forest. The area is intersected by the Dinkel, a stream that has eroded beautiful steep banks into the landscape. Nearby you will find the beautiful old town of Denekamp. Also discover the estate around Huis Singraven, beautifully situated on the Dinkel.
