Tour of Grecht and Oortjespad from Kanis

Your route starts at Eet-en Drinkcafé De Gkeerde Kanis. After a cup of coffee, put on your walking shoes. The Utrecht Fens is the land of endless ditches, vast polders and birds such as lapwings and godwits. You walk along the centuries-old drainage canal the Grecht. In between you can stop by Eet- en Drinkcafé De Gkeerde Kanis, perfect for lunch or something tasty with coffee. The second part of the route takes you on a nice tour through the Oortjespad recreational area with the beautiful fishing ponds and playing fields. In the petting zoo you can see typical farm animals, and in the spring there is always a lot of young offspring to admire.
