A cozy spot in the church village of Kanis, which belongs to the village of Kamerik. De Kanis originated as a hamlet, when in 1855 a Roman Catholic church was built two kilometers from the Protestant Kamerik. The name comes from the inn located here called De Gekeerde Kanis, which means'inverted fish basket\\\'. This used to be the place where local fishing was traded. Come here for a drink or a bite to eat after your walking or cycling trip. Nice to combine with a bike ride through the city of Utrecht, along the Vecht or the lakes.
