Description

Your route starts at Eethuis Root. Your cycling tour starts and in the middle of the forest you will find the Chapel of the Sacred Oak, a particularly atmospheric spot. In 1406, two shepherds are said to have found a statue of Mary in the De Beerze stream and placed it in an oak tree. The Oirschotse heath is a large heath and drifting sand area, which is used as a military training area. The site is usually freely accessible during the day. Then you turn towards the Landschotse Heide. This nature reserve is known for the many dragonfly species that occur there - there are almost 30 of them. They come to open water, such as the Wit Hollandven. There are often cows grazing on the heath, a beautiful sight.
