Brief description of the environment
The Wieringerwaard was reclaimed in 1610. The mill, the watermill, the White Church, the Polder House and the tram building are very characteristic of this ribbon village. The Anna Paulownapolder was drained in 1846. Around 1900, the polder literally blossomed when it turned out that flower bulb cultivation was very suitable for the sandy soil.
