Description

Route is partly based on the Zuiderwaterlinie walking route, but then by bicycle, for me it is the second part of the route.

From Hotel de Keurvorst in Ravenstein, past Molen Desiré in Megen.

Then along the Hemelrijkse Waard to Lith past the lock complex and Molen Zeldenrust.

After Lith via Kessel to Museumgemaal Caners, a beautiful piece of heritage, and a small winding to Fort Crevecoeur after which via Fort Hedikhuizen from the Zuiderwaterlinie to Heusden Vesting, nice to plan a break or coffee moment, and to take a short walk in the fortress.

After Heusden we leave the Zuiderwaterlinie, via Wijk and Aalburg, Molen de Twee Gebroeders and Museum De Wolfsburgh over Volkswagen Beetle and transporters.

Then along Giessen to visit Fort near Giessen, then we go to Gederland via Battery under Poederoijen, small drop-off from the route So, you can also just go straight across the Afsluitdijk of course.

Then along Battery under Brakel to Slot Loevenstein, which can be shortened if necessary by going over the Schouwendijk to Loevenstein.
