Stuw- en sluizencomplex Lith

At Lith you pass an impressive weir and lock complex. The first locks at Lith were opened in 1936. In 2002 the second lock was officially inaugurated under the name Princess Maxima Sluizen. The new lock is not visible from the shore. The old original lock is still clearly visible. Thanks to a number of restorations, it still looks like it did in the early days. Beyond the lock is the Lith weir, which pushes the water up four meters.
