Description
The starting point of the route is TOP Wijhe. Step on the pedals here and set course for Laag Zuthem. Shortly after this village you cycle past the De Colckhof estate and the Den Alerdinck estate. Landgoed De Colkhof already existed around 1300, but the neoclassical country house was not built until 1840. Havezate Den Alerdinck has been the residence of various noble families for centuries. The English gardens on both estates were among the first gardens in Overijssel in that style. A little further on, outside the village of Heino, the route takes you past Het Nijenhuis estate, where one of the best preserved manors in Overijssel is located. This fourteenth-century castle is now home to Museum de Fundatie. Also get off at Jorink Bakkerij - Lunchroom - Ice cream parlour!
