The architecture route Rondje Rotterdam

The Rondje Rotterdam route leads past iconic architecture and shows you the eclectic mix of old and new that Rotterdam is known for. From the late Gothic Laurenskerk to the futuristic Markthal. From the Cube Houses on the Oude Haven to the high-rise buildings on the Kop van Zuid. The route also leads through pleasant neighbourhoods, parks and lively shopping streets, past terraces, museums and the water. From the Erasmus Bridge you can enjoy the view over the Nieuwe Maas, where water taxis and ships sail to and from. You look towards the largest port in Europe and you see that spectacular Rotterdam skyline.

The walk starts at Central Station, but you can also start at other places. A folder with the route, explanation of 70 locations and tips for a snack and drink can be purchased for € 1.50 at the VVV locations at Central Station and on Coolsingel. If you walk the entire route (approx. 10 km) you will be on the road for about half a day. You can also cycle or shorten the route by, for example, taking a water taxi or public transport.
