Cycling along both banks of the Maas between Venlo and Kessel

This route takes you from Baarlo along both banks of the Limburg Meuse River. You'll pass through the former Hanseatic city of Venlo, among other places. From the beautiful boulevard, you'll have a wonderful view of the Meuse. Much of Venlo's historic center was destroyed during World War II, but some historic gems remain. You'll make a detour through the forests of Germany, and further on, you can stop at Brasserie RACH in Tegelen. Just before Reuver, you'll pass through Ronkenstein, a protected village viewpoint. Here you'll see Keverberg Castle, among other things. Enjoy a refreshment at Clevers Kessel Ice Cream Parlor before returning to Baarlo.
