Tour of Tilburg and Regte Heide

Your cycling route starts at Villa Vredelust, on the edge of the Oude Warande, which was built in 1712. This is one of the few well-preserved star forests in the Netherlands. Around 1600, Tilburg grew into the most important wool city in Brabant and in the eighteenth century the textile industry emerged here, which made the city great in the nineteenth century. Take a look at the new addresses around the Piushaven! Below Riel you cycle along the edge of the Regte Heide, on a beautiful cycle path that winds between the trees. Further on you drive through the Nieuwkerk estate, where there are some beautiful farms and a beautiful monastery in the middle of the forest. You will also discover the Bels Lijntje, a cycle path over a former railway connection to Belgium.
