Tour Hidden Village near Vierhouten

From Vierhouten you can take a varied walk. Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg. Vierhouten is surrounded by four wooden, or woods. This unique location would explain the name of the village. Oak, beech and coniferous trees grow in the woods. While walking, you have the chance, especially around the edges of the day, to spot wild animals such as red deer, roe deer or even a fox. Wild boars and badgers also live in this area. Your route takes you past listening point L59: The hidden village. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the Hidden Village: a secret village in hiding that was founded in the spring of 1943 in the woods. Three huts have been reconstructed, some remnants of the original huts can still be found.
