Tour of the Cape Forests and lookout tower

Your route starts at Hotel Landgoed Zonheuvel. The estate covers 47 hectares and mainly consists of a wooded area. You can enjoy beautiful walks there. Walk past the vegetable garden or relax in the reflection spot. Right next to it is Landgoed Huis te Maarn. In 1906, the owners first had a park and garden created at the highest point of the site (39 meters above sea level), and only then was the house built. From the estates you can walk straight into the Cape Forests. Here you will see traces from a distant past, such as burial mounds and old border walls. From the De Kaap Lookout Tower you can enjoy a beautiful view of the extensive forests and river valleys that border the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You walk back through a beautiful rolling heathland.
