Our wine walk starts at Wijnplein Nijmegen, one of the most beautiful liquor stores in the country. An independent wine shop, by viticulturist Peter Eijkhout. In the historic building on Sint Annastraat you can find quality wines from all over the world, with expert advice. On Saturday afternoon there are always a few wines open for tasting, every last Saturday afternoon of the month there is a themed tasting.
You can enjoy good food at Bistro Berlin. The bistro bar menu challenges culinary fans, good eaters and open-minded passers-by with more daring, more taste and fewer ingredients. Nearby you will discover De Bruijn Wijnkopers. Founded in 1772. Seven generations later, this is the oldest independent wine merchant in the Netherlands.

If you walk into the center from here, you will arrive at wine bar Wijn bij Arentz. A wine bar pur sang, with a lot of choice, good prices and knowledgeable employees. In addition to serving the thirty varying wines by the glass, there is also an extensive wine list with more than 500 wines, which are available by the bottle - from the adjacent wine shop.
Ultimo Restaurant & Wijnbar is located on the Waal, a nice and fresh and hip address. The terrace on the Waal in Nijmegen is known as the most beautiful in Nijmegen. Passing boats, the setting sun: here you get a real holiday feeling.
Owner and chef Pepijn Hoebink has traveled the world in search of inspiration. He is now happy to let you taste the result in his own restaurant. Brasserie't Zotte Lemke is a beautiful historic spot, in the oldest shopping street in the Netherlands: the Lange Hezelstraat. Be sure to book a tasting here, with a group of up to 10 people. Can also be done with two. Through all kinds of stories and anecdotes, the house sommelier and hosts tell you about the extensive wine list. Enjoy a nice informal wine tasting. To top it off, the wine tasting can be held in the on-site wine cellar, which was probably built in the fourteenth century. Beautifully high through the pointed arch!
