Burgundian round of Maas and Waal

In the Land van Maas en Waal you can enjoy the silence, nature and rich cultural history. First you drive to Hernen. Around the castle you experience the atmosphere of a bygone era. Along the Maas you have a beautiful view over the flowery floodplains. You pass the eighteenth-century windmill of Batenburg. In the picturesque village you seem to drive back in time, you can see the impressive ruins of Kasteel Batenburg here. Just before Appeltern you pass a nineteenth-century dyke warehouse, further on there are two churches shortly after each other. You cycle past meadows, fields and orchards to the Beneden-Leeuwen. From the dike along the Waal you can enjoy the beautiful views for many kilometers. Via the picturesque Bergharen you drive back to Hill\\\'s. Time for something tasty.
