Tour of Voorne-Putten from Rozenburg

From Rozenburg you make a tour over Voorne-Putten. Cycling through the polders you immediately notice how quiet it is on this island, wonderful! Just past Tinte you pass Museum in den Halven Maen. Further on you pass Meertje de Waal: a nature reserve of grasslands and reeds. This area was created around the Strype, an ancient creek. You cycle past the Rockanje flour mill from 1716 and the old church in Rockanje. In Voornes Duin you can fully enjoy the special nature, after which you visit Oostvoorne. Here you can admire the restored ruins of the medieval Jacobaburcht, the country residence of Jacoba van Beieren. You then drive through the polders to the former fortified town of Brielle. What an atmosphere! You drive back to Hotel Rozenburg along the Brielse Meer.
