Your route starts at Lunchcafe De Grote Molen. It's a pleasant, peaceful cycle around Roosendaal, passing through charming Brabant villages and hamlets. You'll also pass through the Rucphen Forests. Here, you'll clearly see traces of the area's agricultural development: almost all roads and waterways are straight and run west to east. After a detour through Belgium, you'll enter the Molenbeek Valley via the village of Nispen. This wetland nature reserve lies along the banks of the Watermolenbeek stream. You'll see pollarded trees, old drinking pools, meadows, and newly planted deciduous forests. Following the meandering Watermolenbeek stream, you'll enter Roosendaal, where the Molenbeek Valley continues as a city park all the way to the charming town center.
