Tour of The Hague highlights from Scheveningen

You can walk straight into the center via the Scheveningen woods. In this stately residential city you will stumble upon Dutch history. The Binnenhof has been the political center of the Netherlands for centuries. You also pass Noordeinde Palace. This working palace of King Willem-Alexander originally dates from 1640. The Peace Palace was built about 100 years ago and laid a solid foundation for The Hague as an international city of Peace and Justice. Via beautiful old streets such as Lange Voorhout and Denneweg you come to Carlton Ambassador, where you can take a break with a cup of coffee. You walk back through Scheveningen, in this former fishing village you will see the stately Art Nouveau houses that were built in the Belgisch Park district.
