Bicycle route Landsmeer, Zaandam and Westzaan

From Landsmeer, you drive into the Zaan region. Via Oostzaan, you cycle to Zaandam, where you cross the Zaan and continue into the countryside. At the Zuideinde, you pass a few monumental eighteenth-century farmhouses. At the Westzaanse Zuivelboerderij, you can stop for a coffee and buy a treat for the road in the shop. Further along, you will see a few characteristic centuries-old green wooden houses on either side of the road—beautiful! From junction 63, you cycle through the Guisveld, a protected meadow landscape. You ride a short distance along the Zaan; just before the bridge at junction 73, you have a beautiful view of the Zaanse Schans. Via the Oostzanerveld and the 't Twiske nature reserve, you cycle back to Landsmeer. Time for a drink and a bite to eat on the terrace of Cafe de Driesprong.
