Walking tour Het Laer near Ommen

Your walk starts at Camping De Koeksebelt. From here you can walk straight to the beautiful Het Laer estate, right across the road. Het Laer used to be a castle; the surrounding moats and the wooded area in which the castle stood out are still visible. The castle has had many different owners over the years. After a number of sieges, renovations and takeovers, Landgoed Het Laer has grown into a beautifully restored manor house. You can now go there for parties, dinners, brunches and other gatherings. Diagonally opposite the estate you will find a sheepfold where the sheep stay at night. During the day, the herd often walks freely across the heath near the sheepfold. A beautiful sight!
