Description

Via Schagen, where you can visit various museums, you drive to Julianadorp. This village was originally called Loopuyt. In honor of the birth of Princess Juliana in 1909, Loopuyt was renamed Julianadorp. At junction 10 you pass through the former hamlet of De Blauwe Keet, which was created here from 1824 after the excavation work for the Noordhollandsch Kanaal. If you cycle along the coast you can see the Groote Kaap from afar, a steel lighthouse of almost seventeen meters high. In Callantsoog you will pass De Zwaan, a seesaw mill from 1993 that raises the water level in the area. On the church square is the Reformed Church from 1580, a national monument with the beautiful tower from 1671.
