Cycling route: 192717
Provided by: Groots Genieten
From Castricum you cycle to Uitgeest. Here you see the Dog and the Kat, two beautiful mills. At the Uitgeestermeer you pass the Tweede Broekermolen, a polder mill built in 1631. The next historical sights on your route are Fort Kijk and Fort aan den Ham. In Assendelft you cycle through the longest Dorpsstraat in the Netherlands. It has a length of 7.2 kilometers. You see, among other things, the Sint-Odulphuskerk from 1888. On the other side of the North Sea Canal you cycle through the Spaarnwoude recreation area. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here through the forests and along centuries-old peat meadow areas. Just before Velsen-Zuid you cycle through the park that surrounds Huis Velserbeek, an originally sixteenth-century farmstead.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
