Description

This city walk starts at Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade. You can walk straight into the center via the Scheveningen woods. In this stately residential city you will stumble upon Dutch history. The Binnenhof has been the political center of the Netherlands for centuries. Museum de Gevangenpoort is a unique medieval gatehouse, one of the three entrance gates to the castle of the Counts of Holland (now the Binnenhof). Here you can see how prisoners were imprisoned, tried and punished in our country from the 15th to the early 19th century. You also pass Noordeinde Palace. This working palace of King Willem-Alexander originally dates from 1640. The Peace Palace was built about 100 years ago and laid a solid foundation for The Hague as an international city of Peace and Justice. Finally, have a bite to eat at Brut International Flavors.
