The cultural history of picturesque Brielle is wonderful to immerse yourself in. Because the city has still well preserved the old defenses, you feel like you are taking a step back in time in Brielle. The old city walls, nine bastions, five ravelins, an eighteenth-century gatekeeper's house and a furnished harbor battery with a bomb-proof guardhouse and many bunkers have been preserved and give Brielle the authenticity of an old fortified city. Along the way you will pass Eetcafé Centraal Oostvoorne. Get off for a moment to rest your legs and enjoy a tasty snack and drink. The cycle tour takes you to traditional Dutch historical heritage: two beautiful windmills. The first is a ground sailor in Oostvoorne. If you follow the ramparts of Brielle, you will see the Vliegend Hert mill.
