You start this route in Barsingerhorn, an ancient West Frisian village. Here you will see some characteristic bell-shaped farms and a beautiful town hall that originally dates from 1622. Further on you drive through Wieringerwaard. Just after junction 46 you will see the Polderhuis from 1612 on your right. A little later you will cycle past the Hoop from 1742, a former polder mill that now serves as a flour mill. You drive through the vast polders and along the Amstelmeer to the former island of Wieringen. Here you cycle through Hippolytushoef where you will see the Onderneming, a flour mill from 1851. At the Wieringer Ice Cream and Dairy Farm you can enjoy a fresh ice cream, after which you explore the Wieringermeerpolder. Finally, you pass through the picturesque Kolhorn. For centuries this was a fishing village with a harbor on the Zuiderzee.
