Description
This route takes you through the forests and past country estates between Baarn and Bilthoven. You will soon pass the National Military Museum, a must. After junction 97 you will cycle over the Eyckenstein Estate, this country estate originally dates from the seventeenth century. Further on you will cycle through Lage Vuursche, which enjoys a protected village view. The Stulpkerk originally dates from 1659, the current Drakensteyn Castle dates from 1640. On the edge of the Hooge Vuursche you will pass the Drakenburg Country House. At the De Wildenburg pancake farm you can enjoy something tasty, before cycling to the eighteenth-century Groeneveld Castle. Soestdijk Palace is a former seventeenth-century hunting lodge that was expanded over time. At junction 69 you will cycle over the Soester Eng, which enjoys a protected village view. Here you will see the De Windhond mill.
